Chủ đề từ vựng quen thuộc nằm rải rác từ lớp 10-11-12. Xuất hiện các cấu trúc ngữ pháp nâng cao, ngoài chương trình học: Cấu trúc nâng cao về mệnh đề nhượng bộ, cấu trúc đặc biệt với so/such, các collocation nằm ngoài chương trình học.
Tỷ lệ câu hỏi nhận biết, thông hiểu so với vận dụng, vận dụng cao là 60:40. Học sinh có thể dễ dàng đạt điểm trên trung bình. Đề thi sắp xếp không theo độ khó tăng dần mà đan xen các câu hỏi khó dễ trong từng dạng bài.
Đã có sự thay đổi về đơn vị kiến thức được kiểm tra trong từng dạng bài. Ví dụ bài trọng âm 2 câu đều kiểm tra 3 âm tiết. Dạng bài phát âm thường là dạng bài gỡ điểm, nhưng đề thi lại xuất hiện 1 câu hỏi ở mức khó hơn.
Các câu hỏi khó tập trung vào từ vựng như: Tìm từ đồng nghĩa trái nghĩa, các câu từ vựng trong phần hoàn thành câu và đọc hiểu. Phần đọc hiểu và điền từ nhẹ nhàng hơn so với đề thi THPT quốc gia 2018.
Đề thi tăng độ khó ở phần cấu trúc ngữ pháp và từ vựng ở phần hoàn thành câu, từ vựng ở phần tìm từ đồng nghĩa – trái nghĩa nhưng đọc hiểu và điền từ độ khó giảm so với đề thi THPT quốc gia 2018.

In the history of technology, computers and calculators were innovative aevelopments. They are essentially different from all other machines because they have a memory. This memory stores instructions and information.
